INEC Boss Must Be Probed
Respect for Nigerian Rights
Economic hardship at home has turned Nigeria into a nation of emmigrants. The side effect of it is the lack of respect for the rights of Nigerians as enshrined in various national constitutions and in international laws. The Embassy of Indonesia in Nigeria is taking advantage of Nigerians by enforcing rules, which few other nations can accept, upon Nigerians, this time even in Nigeria. Indonesia has sacked many local embassy staff in Nigeria for refusing to accept labour rules that amount to slavery. Read More About An Account of the Indonesian Embassy's Maltreatment of Nigerians.
The Citizens for Nigeria calls on the Nigerian people and government to mount pressure on the Indonesian Embassy to re-absorb the sacked Nigerian employees.
It is time to reclaim the respect for Nigerian citizens, home and abroad. The way to do this is to fight for our rights, whenever it is trampled upon, as is in this case, where a paralyzed Nigerian government is not ready to defend the rights of its citizens within its own borders.
Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab's Journey Started Long Ago
Today, we heard of a Nigerian, Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab, who said he was an agent for al-Qaida and tried to blow up a Northwest Airlines plane as it was preparing to land in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Thank God, travelers who smelled smoke and heard what sounded like firecrackers rushed to subdue him. A disaster that has been long in coming was averted. This happened because a group of selfish Nigerian leaders with Islamic affiliation have, instead of taking the necessary action, quietly aided Islamic fundamentalism for almost 30 years. The Citizens for Nigeria can predict that when Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab's identity is revealed, he will be known to come from the northern part of Nigeria that has always received state protection and patronage for religious persecution.

This Is Your Moment To Act [Download Letter]
The Citizens for Nigeria worldwide write you with warm greetings, enthusiasm for change, hope for the future and tender care for the fatherland. We have watched with great interest events in our dear country over the last 100 days and are relieved that you have eventually received the necessary backing to assume your duties as Acting President, following the indisposition of President Umaru Yar’Adua.
No Longer A Time for Just Prayer
“We have locked ourselves in the sanctuary for too long a time, fasting, praying and preaching for good governance in our nation. That in itself is not evil, but, we need to do more as the salt of the earth and the light of the world. It is time for the true church to come out of the closet and rebuild ancient ruins.” - Tunde Bakare, Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly.
Nigerians Have No Right to Know?
"I don’t think it was right for the former president to share President Yar’Adua’s medical records with the public.” The Special Adviser to President Umaru Yar’Adua on National Assembly Matters, Senator Muhammed Abba-Aji, speaking about General Olusegun Obasanjo's yet-to-be-admitted disclosure to the media that Yar'Adua is brain damaged.
